Well, if you mean, “Where’s the church building?”
there isn’t one. Services are held at
OK, so what does
In a word, the Bible.
OK, that’s two words, but another name for the Bible is God’s
Word, because it is the way in which God tells us about Himself. The Bible is really a library of 66 books, so
it would be difficult to make a summary of it short enough for this leaflet.
Ah, you’re just
avoiding the question!
Not at all, just being
realistic. Tell you what, let’s start
with the four words that make up the church’s name - they don’t tell you
everything, but they do give an idea of what the church believes. But let’s start with the last word of the
church name and work backwards. After
that, a few words about the church. If
you want to know more, come along to one of our services, click on the “What We
Believe” link, or contact us:

Four Words Make the Church Name
CHURCH: a group of Christians who meet to worship God, pray
to Him, learn from the Bible, and make God’s truth known.

this were nicknamed “Baptists” and the name stuck.
GRACE: Something good, which we don’t deserve. No one deserves anything good from
God, because in the Bible, we read: “All have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God.” 1 We cannot take away our own sin, so God’s
grace is vital. In the Bible, we read,
“For by grace you have been saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves;
it is the gift of God.” 2
But God can’t “turn a blind eye” to sin.
So Jesus Christ, perfect and completely free from sin, came into the
world, not to make a nice story at Christmas, or to be a good example, but
through His crucifixion to suffer the penalty for sin on behalf of His
people. That’s why the angel said, “You
shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” 3 Thank God, Jesus did not remain dead, but
rose again on the third day.
FOXHOLE: The Bible pattern is that local groups of believers
came together to form churches. It talks
of “the church at
